Free Play of The Day Today

After breaking out of our little (well not so little) slump, we have put together back to back winning POD’s with our win last night on Minnesota…I am putting this play out rather early as I anticipate a line move here…It seems very low for this game.

After being swept in the 3 game series with St. Louis, thus giving up their lead in the division, the Reds have bounced back with 5 straight wins putting up 31 runs (6.2 average) in that stretch, and that was without leading homer hitter, slugger Votto who should be back in the lineup tonight. They are 44-21 versus teams with a losing record and 15-5 the 2nd half of the season. They are 12-4 in August.

After a stretch where the Diamonbacks won 6 of 7 games, they have since come back to reality and their normal play by dropping 5 of (Read full Article Here)

Playing The “dog” On The Runline

In my opinion, and it is just my opinion, but I believe that playing the underdog on the runline is one of the worst bets in all sports. Obviously there are some who will disagree with me, but if you asked an opinion of 100 handicappers on any issue related to sport betting, you may get 100 different opinions.

My thoughts are, that if you play the dog on the runline getting +1.5 runs, 90% of the time you have to (Read full Article Here)

Betting Baseball: Time To Be Cautious

This is the time of the baseball season when sport bettor’s and handicappers have to be very cautious in making selections. The trade deadline has passed and some of the non-contending teams have traded off key players in exchange for looking to the future. It’s the time of year you must be very aware of those teams that are on the bubble, or in contention to make a playoff run. (Read full Article Here)

With The MLB Trade Deadline Fast Approaching…Handicapping Major League Baseball Gets Tougher…or Does It…????

Many of you showed your concern about the 2nd half of the baseball season and how most services seem to falter the first two weeks of the 2nd half of the season, now I am getting e-mails about concerns about the upcoming trades and how it will impact the handicapping process.

My reponse to this is basically the same as to the concerns about the 2nd half capping… (Read full Article Here)

Good Betting Habits Are Paying Off

I have written about it, preached it, taught it and I live it. "How you bet can be more Important as Who you bet"…especially in baseball betting. A very good example is why we are around the +100.00 unit mark for the year with still 5 months to go. If we go back and look at the last 5 games we lost, you will see we were down 5.51 units. Going back to our last 5 winners we profited 9.25 units. In baseball, winning percentages mean very little. Units is all that counts. You can be under .500 in win percentage but still be up units if (Read full Article Here)

Baseball: You’ll Never Believe This Play !

This Is Really “Going Outside The Box”

There is an ole saying that “you should never expect a bad team to do something good”. There is also a betting rule I follow that says you don back a team on a losing streak or a pitcher on a downslide. Well folks, I am ignoring both these rules today and am going with the Pirates over Houston.

Pittsburgh is on a 7 game losing streak and Ohlendorf the starting pitcher is (Read full Article Here)

Today’s Comp Best Bet

We had the Angels last night as our Guaranteed Play of the Day, which turned out to be an easy winner. Tonight we are making them our “Complimentary Best Bet”. I know many are saying how can you go against Hernandez? I certainly agree you may think there are some easier pickings on the schedule and there is one but that’s our Guaranteed Play today, but when you look closely at this game, it all boils down to offense, something that Seattle has none of.
