NBA: The Key To Winning

The Key To Winning Betting The NBA

Even thought the NBA is considered a team sport, there are big differences from Football and Baseball where you have 22 players in football and 9 players in baseball. With only 5 starters, there is much more weight to put on individual players performance than other sports…

We have ran off 17 consecutive winning seasons in the NBA and I contribute that success to 3 key factors….(1) We rate every player with an individual power rating rather than just use overall team performance….(2) We use our own “real” home court advantage rating system which is the true home court advantage and not the arbitrary 3 or 4 points used by the linesmakers…and (3) because we have a rating for every player which measures the expected performance based on minutes played, we have a huge advantage when a key player is out of the lineup for a particular game.

It takes a lot of extra work….A Lot..!!, but it is all worth it if we are putting money in the bank year after year….Watch my blog updates as I will posting an article on how to make the player rating, figure the “real” home court advantage and make player ratings….Good Luck and let’s have a huge winning NBA season.

Monday Night Football…Free Pick

Philadelphia @ Washington

After their humiliating upset loss last week to the lowly Raiders, the Eagles should be soaring high this week. They travel to Washington installed as a 7 point favorite. The Redskins have covered the last 3 of 4 meetings in this series but the Eagles have covered 7 of the last 10 when at Washington. The Eagles managed only 9 points last week against the Raiders and in games following scoring 10 or less they are 6-0 in the last 6 situations. They are also in double revenge as they dropped both games to the Redskins last year and both times as a favorite.

Washington managed only 6 points in their game last week against the basement dwelling Kansas City Chiefs in a 14-6 upset loss at home. They are 1-10 vs opponent following an upset loss. Unlike the Eagles bouncing back after a low scoring game, the Redskins are only 1-5-1 following scoring 10 or less..

Your free pick…..Eagles by 17…!!!

Sunday NFL….Vikings/Steelers

It is 5:16 Saturday evening Las Vegas time and we are currently 5-1 with our member selections for Saturday’s college football action…Still have 3 to go, hope it continues….

Sunday NFL….Vikings / Steelers….There are only a couple of very competitive matchups for this week. Minnesota / Pittsburgh I believe will be one of the most competitive games on the board…. (Read full Article Here)

Huge Revenge Game This Weekend

Southern Cal will be welcoming the Oregon State Beavers with open arms this weekend looking to avenge their huge upset loss last year. USC went to Oregon St as a 24 point favorite only to be beaten 27-21 which turned out to be the game that ruined an otherwise perfect season. They have been upset the last two times they played in Corvalis. This game has been circled on their calendar since the start of spring workouts.

Here are some other games that teams will be in a revenge mode this weekend…. (Read full Article Here)

MNF: Denver @ San Diego

How Do You Pick This One..!!

The surprising Denver Bronco’s travel to San Diego tonight sporting a 5-0 record and 5-0 against the spread. They have held opponents to just an 8.6 points per game average while putting up 19.8 average on offense. The Chargers 2-2 giving up a whopping 25.5 points per game.

The rushing game is the focus on tonights game as the Bronco’s are rushing for 139 yards per game while the Chargers are giving up 151 per game. Denver’s rush defense has been outstanding allowing only 81.0 on the ground.

The Chargers are only averaging 53.8 yards per game on the ground. The passing game for the Chargers has been the bright light this season throwing for nearly 300 yards per game. This being said, we must take into consideration that they have been plagued with injuries on both sides of the ball but most significantly the injury to leading rusher LaDanian Tomlinson, who from all reports is back to near 100%. So do we throw out the rusing stats when handicapping this game?..They certainly must be altered, but then is Denver’s rush defense for real and able to stop even the best running back in the league?

Neither of these teams perform well in their prospective roles on Monday night football. Denver as a road dog on Monday is only 3-9 SU and 5-7 ATS. San Diego as a home favorite on Monday is only 2-4 SU and 2-5 ATS. San Diego however has covered the spread the last 4 times these two have met. As for the total…Denver has played to 5 unders while the Chargers are 3-1 over..

So how do you figure this game…very tough for sure…Is Denver for real or is the record a little skewed as they won 3 of their games against teams the likes of Cleveland, Oakland and Cincinnati…They did however pull off upsets over Dallas and N. England, but then again both of those games were at home. With the exception of the Clevleland 27-6 win, their average margin of win is only 4.5 points per game beating Cincy by 5, Dallas by 7 and NE by 3.

So how I ask you again, how do you figure this game….? I do believe I have found a significant edge tonight, I have posted a 3 Diamond play on this game. You can get it for just $15.00 at: www.tonydiamondsports.com

A Very Bizarre NFL Sunday..!!

Sunday October 18 in the NFL was one of the most bizarre, (weirdest) days I have ever seen….From a handicapping standpoint, at least for me, it was a disaster….We saw one of the worst teams in the league pull off a upset over what many consider one of the best teams in the league as a 14.5 point underdog, of course I’m talking about the Raiders beating the Eagles.
